Here is an overview of our travel plans… (To be updated as we worked out more details)…
New Zealand – Starting off in Whanganui with family. Borrowing a car to travel across the interislander to spend 25 days in the South Island; heading down the east coast and looping back around the west coast.
Adelaide – A quick stop for a friend’s wedding and catching up with some friends/family.
New Zealand – Another 2 weeks in the North Island, catching up with more friends and family. First heading south of Auckland to Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Then heading to the Far North.
20th Feb – We fly to Hawaii
2 Weeks exploring two of the islands in Hawaii
L.A. – 5 nights in Los Angeles
Costa Rica – 3 Weeks exploring Costa Rica. Starting in San Jose City, heading east to spend a night in a tree house in the jungle, a few more days on the east coast (Caribbean Sea), then onto La Fortuna and Monteverde in the north-west and heading down the west coast to Quepos.
Miami – 3 night stopover, staying right on Miami Beach.
Ecuador – Starting in Quito, we head for the hills to Mindo staying in a chocolate factory. Then off to the Amazon for a week, followed by an 8 day cruise in the Galapagos with a further 5 nights on San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos.
Cuba – Finishing off the month with 10 nights near Havana.
Canada – Starting with 3 nights in Toronto, followed by 2 weeks around Vancouver and 10 days in Calgary/Rockies.
New York City – Stopping over for four nights. Staying right on Central Park.
Spain, Madrid – Flying in for 4 nights.
Portugal – Catching up with Gemma’s parents on the Algarve coast and then heading onto Lisbon & Porto.
Spain – Exploring northern Spain
JULY – Austria – for Elton John Concert. Then exploring northern Italy and Southern France
Africa – 10 Day Namibian Tour followed by 7 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour
Jerusalem / Oman?
OCTOBER / NOVEMBER / DECEMBER
Central Europe – Scandanavia – Northern Lights
Return flight booked for 31st December – Arriving back to Perth, WA in time to see 2019 out and 2020 begin 🙂
